Kokemustieto yhteiskunnan voimavaraksi

Setlementtiliikkeessä seniorit ja vanhukset kohdataan yhteisöjensä täysivaltaisina ja arvostettuina jäseninä, joiden elämänkokemus ja osaaminen nähdään tärkeänä voimavarana. Seniori- ja vanhustyötä tehdäänkin lähes kaikissa setlementeissä.



Vanheneminen on arvokasta, aktiivista ja turvallista, kun ihmiset itse ovat mukana heitä koskevissa asioissa ja päätöksenteossa. Seniori- ja vanhustyömme kattaa hyvinvointi- ja asumispalvelut, harrastus- ja opintotoiminnan sekä vapaaehtois- ja kansalaistoiminnan.



Tarjolla on erimuotoisia asumispalveluita ikääntyneille, myös heille, jotka eivät tule kodissaan toimeen yksin. Ikääntyneiden kodinomaista asumista tuetaan ateriapalveluilla, liikunta-kuntoutuspalveluilla sekä muilla hoiva- ja hoitotyön ammattilaisten tukitoimilla. Seniori- ja vanhustyöhömme kuuluvat myös uusien palvelujen kehittäminen, esimerkiksi ikääntyneiden maahanmuuttajataustaisten, päihdeongelmaisten ja kehitysvammaisten erityispalvelut.



Yhdessä mukana -projektissa yli 60-vuotiaat vapaaehtoiset ovat vertaistoimijoina tukea tarvitseville ikäisilleen tai vanhemmille. Tavoitteena on setlementtityön vertaistuen koulutus- ja toimintamalli, jossa ikääntyneille kehitetään esteetöntä elinympäristöä. Projekti on Raha-automaattiyhdistyksen rahoittama ja se kuuluu Vanhustyön keskusliiton Eloisa ikä -ohjelmakokonaisuuteen. Projekti toteutetaan kuudella paikkakunnalla vuosina 2013–2016. The experience of resource in the information societySetlementti motion for seniors and the elderly face full and the valuation of their communities, which are members of the life experience and knowledge are seen as an important resource. Senior citizens and the elderly work happening in almost all setlementeissä. Senior citizens and the elderly, our work covers health and housing services, and student activities, as well as voluntary and non-governmental activities. There are various forms of housing services for the elderly, including those who did not come home to get by on their own. The elderly living support rehabilitation services, sports services, meals, as well as other professionals in the care and treatment support. Senior citizens and the elderly, the development of new services, our work includes, for example, older people from a migrant background, substance abuse and developmental disabilities special services. One involved in the project, more than 60 years, the volunteers are in need of support to their peers or vertaistoimijoina for parents. The aim is to implement the training and operational work of the setlementti model, where the development of a barrier-free living environment for the elderly. The project is funded by the slot machine and it belongs to the old man of the work of the Federation of the mobile age-the program as a whole. The project will be implemented in six locations in the years 2013-2016. Seniors and the elderly in our work covers the social welfare and housing services, leisure and educational activities as well as volunteering and civic activities. There are various forms of residential services for older people, including those who do not come home survive on their own.
