Äänekosken Kapeenkoskella on havaittu veden samentumaa viikon 43 loppupuolella. Samentuma johtuu Metsä Groupin Äänekosken biotuotetehtaan rakennustyömaan Miilunlahden rannan ruoppaustöistä ja täytöstä. Ruoppaustyömaa on rajattu viranomaisten hyväksymällä tavalla veteen asennetulla suojaverholla, joka kuitenkin näissä virtausolosuhteissa päästää kaikkein hienointa maa-ainesta läpi. Tämä näkyy veden samentumisena.

Suojaverho on asennettu ennen ruoppaustöiden aloittamista elokuussa. Syyskuun alussa Miilunlahden edustalla havaittiin veden samentumista ja suojaverho tutkittiin välittömästi, jolloin kävi ilmi että suojaverho on liikkunut. Verho asennettiin uudestaan lokakuun alussa ja tarkastuksessa verhon on todettu olevan paikallaan ja kunnossa.
