Metsä Group on mukana Vastuullinen kesäduuni -kampanjassa, jossa halutaan kasvattaa nuorten työmahdollisuuksia ja haastaa työnantajat tarjoamaan nuorille enemmän ja laadukkaampia kesätöitä.

Metsä Groupille kesätyöntekijät ovat kesäkauden voimavara, joista osa jatkaa kesätyökauden päätyttyä tai myöhemmin konsernin palveluksessa.

”Tavoitteemme on luoda jokaiselle nuorelle positiivinen kesätyökokemus ja samalla tukea nuorten uravalintoja. Kampanjaan osallistuminen on meille luontevaa, sillä meillä toteutuvat kampanjan hyvän kesätyön periaatteet ”, Metsä Groupin henkilöstöjohtaja Anneli Karhula sanoo. ”Mielekkäät kesätyökokemukset kehittävät nuorten työelämätaitoja ja tukevat urasuunnittelua antamalla konkreettisia esimerkkejä uudistuvan metsäalan monipuolisista työtehtävistä. Metsä Group työllistää Suomessa noin 700 nuorta, joiden työtehtävät vaihtelevat puunhankinnasta ja tuotannosta markkinoinnin ja viestinnän tehtäviin.”

”Perehdyttämisen avulla kesätyöntekijä saa hyvän alun itsenäiseen suoriutumiseen työtehtävissään”, henkilöstön kehittämisasiantuntija Matti Simula sanoo. ”On tärkeää, että myös kesätyöntekijämme ymmärtävät oman työnsä tavoitteet, velvollisuudet ja vastuualueet. Perehdyttäminen vaikuttaa merkittävästi työn tuloksiin ja työturvallisuuteen.”

Metsä Group tarjoaa kesätyöntekijöille mielekästä työtä, kattavan perehdytyksen ja ohjauksen, toimivan työympäristön ja mahdollisuuden oppia käytännön työtehtäviä. Suurin osa Metsä Groupin kesätyöpaikoista on tuotannon tehtävissä.
