Metsämessujen koululaispäivänä 7.11. palkittiin metsäalan yhdeksäsluokkalaisille suunnatun koulukampanjan Työ kasvaa puissa -kilpailun parhaat työt. Kilpailutöissä visioitiin vuoden 2024 metsäalaa. Kilpailun voitti Myllytullin koulun 9B-luokka Oulusta.

Myllytullin koulun oppilaiden työ "Työ metsässä myös tulevaisuudessa” palkittiin pääpalkinnolla, 4 000 euron stipendirahalla.
