Esimerkiksi selluloosalle on Pirilän mukaan hyvät tulevaisuudennäkymät, koska vaikkapa mikrokuitusellun avulla on mahdollista tehdä aiempaa pienemmällä raaka-ainemäärällä entistä lujempia ja kevyempiä tuotteita.
