Tavoite

Tavoitteena on vahvistaa yhteisöllisyyttä ja moniarvoisuutta sekä kehittää uudenlaisia yhteisötaiteen menetelmiä, joita voidaan soveltaa kansalaistoiminnassa erilaisissa paikallisyhteisöissä.



Projektin toteutus

Kullakin paikkakunnalla on omat erityispiirteensä, joiden tarpeisiin ja toiveisiin sovelletaan yhteisötaiteen menetelmiä. Yhteisötaiteella tarkoitetaan kollektiivisesti tehtyä taideteosta, joka muotoutuu yhteisön antamista lähtökohdista. Taidetta tehdään yhteisön ehdoilla ja luomisprosessi on keskeinen osa teosta.



Projektin taiteellisesta sisällöstä ja menetelmästä vastaa kussakin asukasyhteisöissä ammattitaiteilija ja toteutuksessa ovat keskeisessä roolissa paikalliset asukkaat. Jokaisessa lähiössä työskentelee yhteisötaiteen menetelmiin perehtynyt ammattitaiteilija tai taiteilijayhteisö, joka voi edustaa visuaalisten alojen, esittävän taiteen, musiikin tai sanataiteen osaamista. Teoksen tuotantoprosessi vahvistaa yhteisöllisyyttä ja sen lopputuotteena tuleva taideteko jää elämään yhteisössä joko teoksina tai taltiointeina.



Projekti toteutetaan yhteistyössä Suomen Setlementtiliiton Uusi paikallisuus -hankkeen, Yhdessä mukana -projektin, Kalliolan setlementtitalon ja Asukastalo Kylämajan sekä Taiteen edistämiskeskus/Lounais-Suomen aluetoimipisteen kanssa.



Projektia koordinoi Setlementtiliiton Uusi paikallisuus -hanke (2011–2015) ja sitä rahoittaa Opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriö.



Uusi paikallisuus -hankkeessa kehitetään asukkaiden osallistumis- ja vaikuttamismahdollisuuksia omassa lähiympäristössään, jotta asukkaat voivat kokea osallisuutta ja yhteisöllisyyttä. Suomen Setlementtiliitolla on pitkä kokemus erilaisiin asuinyhteisöihin kohdistuvasta työstä. Taide lähiöiden yhteisöllisyyden vahvistajana -projektilla kehitetään yhteisötaiteen menetelmien käyttöä ihmisten yhteisöllisyyden ja osallisuuden vahvistajana paikallisyhteisöissä
